a question for muslims?

why do most muslims in countries such as indonesia, malaysia, brunai and even india and srilanka eat pork and call it mutton? now no muslim can deny this because i have been to these countries and seen it all myself. when i asked the reason from some muslims in these countries they told me that poverty and the lack of food is the reason why muslims eat pork, as pork is cheaper than other meats.

can this be the reason?

how can i show you proof on a computer? why do you muslims deny everything?

Well, you have this information first hand; which is something I don't have.

I'm guessing that poverty and price must be the reason why the call pork "mutton" and eat it.

It's really a case of "Mohammad to the mountain must go".

I dont know about this. But if what you say is true, then its forbidden to eat pork. If anyone eats it, its a sin.

The reason why POrk is forbidden in Islam is:

In Islam we believe, that all lives are sacred as it is GOD who has made them. So to eat an animal, we must slaughter it in the name of GOD (as GOD is the Creator for us all). Anything slaughtered not in the name of GOD is forbidden, be it a cow or a chicken!

So now why do we insist on slaughtering? The islamic method of slaughter is to cut the juglar vein of the animal, so as to drain the entire blood. WHy?

1) When you cut the juglar vein, the blood supply is cut off to the brain, this means the pain receptors do not carry the pain to the animal. Therefore the animal does not feel the pain. It whiters because of the initial contact.

2) Blood is the main carrier for disease, so when you slaughter the islamic way, most of the blood is drained out, Therefore the meat is clean and no disease will be transferred to you.

You just cant SLAUGHTER pork the islamic way!!!

Next, your manners, your thoughts are infulenced by what you eat.

Pig is an animal who is lazy, eats crap and most of the time has sex. So if you eat pork, you dont have the enthusiasm to do work and all you think is of sex. THis is proven medically.

Now remember, GOD created us all. So HE wants us only to eat things that are pure and good for our development.

The western method of giving an electrical shock to the animal gives it pain 1000 times more than by slaughtering, which cuts the jugglar vein thereby cutting the supply to the pain receptors of the brain.

Medical science also shows that by giving a shock and cutting the animal in one go, sends thunderbolts of pain to the brain, but it is so fast that the poor animal cant even express that.

Where exactly you came from anyway!! it shows that you have a very shallow knowledge about other countries...by the way, those countries you mentioned example for Malaysia..its the most advanced country after singapore in Asia..I never heard any muslim here consumed any pork at all..you are trying to spread lies here!! and also Malaysia are rich with food and even international food can easily get anywhere in the country..if you need proof..i am your proof as i am MUSLIM who currently saty in Malaysia...

And I can tell you, that It is wrong that MOST muslims in my country eat pork. Maybe the muslims you see were the unfaithful Muslims who mix the religion and the old tradition that allow to eat pork...

there is different between people behavior, and what does Islam says. however in this verse in the Quran, God allowed it only if you "have to" or "forced to do it",
all i can tell is what the Quran says:

[173] He has forbidden you only the Maitah (dead animals), and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allâh . But if one is forced by necessity without wilful disobedience nor transgressing due limits, then there is no sin on him. Truly, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

The fact that you said 'Most Muslims' tells me clearly you are lying. I won't be surprised that out of 1.2 billion Muslims there are few who eat pork. But when you say most that shows your true intentions. Try to do a better job next time.

to answer your question there are good muslims and there are bad muslims just like in any religion .and if they use that excuse that pork is cheapier then they have created a very hugh sin.the only time that we are allowed to east pork is if there is no food whatsoever around .because starving yourself to death(suicide) would be haraam(forbidden) .just like alcohol if there isnt anything to drink i mean nothinggggggggggggggggg then they can take a drink.other than these situations it is forbiden .

Just because someone wears a piece of fabric on his/her head does not mean they are aliens. okay you say they eat pork, but does not mean all PEOPLE who may be muslims eat that crap, thats just them ****. thats very interesting. I myself live in India and I've never seen this before. the Indian Muslims I know are very strict on the pork......

Maybe they are using their powers of reason to decide that they will not adhere to this tradition, since trichinosis is not the issue that it was "back in the day." ( and they prefer not to deal with fanatics who would be appalled and make their lives difficult over it......)
