She may have had a seizure. I would keep an eye on her for the next few days, if she does it again, I would get her in ASAP. I would recommend a check up anyways, but if she's got no other symptoms, you could wait a few days until it is convenient for you. Regardless though it is something that needs attention soon. She is around the age when Epilepsy starts to show up.

You havent given quite enough info about this event in your dogs life, but you can be sure that the dog had a siezure. The big question is WHY?!?
Dogs will get into the darndest things, and could have ingested poison, and if so, the longer you wait before getting to the vet the worse the result could be.
n our area, we have an emergency vet that is open all the time. You could call them to see what they say.
In any case, a siezure is a serious thing, especially if the dog has never had one before.
Here are some things you need to find out....
what was the dog exposed to in the last 24 hours?
Was it outside anywhere unattended where it could have gotten into something it shouldnt have?
Have there been any incidents where the dog had a similar event? Like, instead of a siezure, it was staring, or foaming?
Also, you mentioned that the dog has always jumped on the bed with no trouble..... Could the dog have jumped and hit its head, thus causing the siezure? (this happened to my dog)
THe point here is,, gather as much info about the dogs last day or so that might help you figure out what is going on,and get to a vet. There are a number of serious health issues that could cause a siezure that need to be attended to as soon as possible.
Good luck with the dog.

Most likely it was a siezure. Not all case of dogs constricting and foaming at the mouth automatically means a case of poisioning. If it were she wouldn't be fine. She does to need to be looked at because she may have something going on with her brain or even spine. As long as she is happy and eating good and using the bathroom regularly the outcome shouldn't be bad.

The Dog has had a Seizure, take her to the vet and have her checked out as it could be from an underlying problem, on the other hand Seizures can occur from abnormalities that may occur only once and never happen again. I would take the animal in to be sure though. If it happens again make sure to document everything you see to tell the vet.

It sounds like seizers because my mom had a dog that would have seizers and he would shake real bad and get stiff then after a few minutes he was just fine. You should take her to the vet before it gets any worse.

I would say a seizure. Unless she just jumped from the bed wrong...Take her to a vet and have her looked at.

Sounds like maybe she had eaten some rat poisoning or some type of poison. You should take her to the vet to have her looked at.

That sounds like a seizure to me. Watch her to make sure she doesn't do it again and consult a vet. Good luck!

she could have ate something while she was outside... this happened to my dog and she had eaten a frog that was poisonous to her.. get her to the vet to get checked... and if she goes outside to play or potty watch her closely to make sure she does not eat anything bad.
