Why get a dog if you keep it out side that is cruel

That would be way to hot. I have 25 W lights in my Igloo's, and unless it is well below zero they will drive the dogs right out and they will be sleeping on the concrete beside the dog house.

That is silly, dogs have been living outside sucessfully for the last 100,000 years. Why don't we bring all the cows in the house too.

didn't know what a 'hound' heater was till I saw your question and researched

but I was wondering about putting a heat pad
the kind that is specifically made for dogs
only heats up when there's weight on it

guess it all depends on how cold and wet it is where you are and how big the igloo is
