back tension or back pain will do. this is for a project

Often, the best thing to do is some light stretching of the back. But given the choice between the two, I would recommend laying flat on your back, on a hard surface, like a carpeted floor.

Best solution however, is the obvious, tylenol.

If it's lower back try laying on the floor with your butt against a sofa or chair then bend your knees resting your lower legs on the seat. You'll look like you're sitting upside down but have the whole floor to support your back. Very relaxing! You might even fall asleep.
