I got an MRI saying that I have bone marrow edema in the distal tibia, in the talus, anterior calcaneus and the navicular. Does anyone know if this can go away on its own or what treatments may be?

Bone marrow edema occurs when lymph fluid builds up in your bone marrow (the spongy tissue lining the inside of your bones). As for location, according to the bones mentioned it's happening at your ankle bone, lowest part of your leg and one of your foot bones. It could be due to trauma or stress to that area, infection, ischemia (a restriction in blood supply) or possibly a tumor. If it is because of the stress or trauma it should go away on it's own. Infection, ischemia or cancer you need proper medication so visit a doctor. Hope that helps.
