located at the top of the arm between the shoulder and the elbow...i got it during the summer, so im guessing sun tanning might have caused it...its a brownish skin patch (im caucasian and the patch is a couple of shades darker, but not extremely dark brown) and i have had it for 2 years. it recently started to itch alot...does anyone have this or know what it is?? ive been looking for it like crazy on the net and found nothing.

You don't say how old you are, but it sounds like a seborrheic keratosis. However, you should have it check by your doctor just to make sure it is not something more serioius. Melenoma, the more serious version of skin cancer, can occur at any age and is associated with sun exposure.

Tough to say without seeing it or a picture of it...but, you might want to see if it's either a Becker's nevus (which would appear at about the right age) or a cafe au lait spot. Your dermatologist is in the best position to be able to tell you for sure.

honestly, it could be skin cancer. you might want to go and get it looked at just in case. more than likely it's probably just a patch of skin that has more pigment that your other skin.
