It depends on the age of the child. Newborns cost the most. The price goes down when they are potty trained and as they get older the less it is. Here in Indiana it ranges from $85(four year old) to $140 a week (newborn). The hours are a factor also. If your child is school age you may want them to go before or after school so it would not be that many hours in a day and it is cheaper. Here it is as little as $50 a week for that. You should call around in your area to get a better idea. There is usually an inital fee.

I own/run a daycare out of my home. The ages of the children vary from currently 1 to 12. For full time, I charge $20 a day. And that is about your average 8-5 hours. Part time, like children who come before and after school, I get $30 a week. Other part timers, I tend to go for the hourly rate of $2.

It really depends on the area you live in. It depends on the economy in your area as well. On average though, expect to pay roughly around 25/day per child. Which equals out to roughly 400/month per child. Some daycares are more, some are less and some offer a discount for two or more children. It just takes some serious looking to find one suitable to your needs and income. You should be able to look in your local phone book for an organization called child care resource and referal. Also talk to your local social and health services office (welfare office). They will be able to answer any further questions you have in looking for child care because they are the ones who give the licenses and they do continuous monitoring of their licensed child care facitlities, both home and actual businesses (like Kindercare). Hope this helps some.

I used to work just to pay for daycare. I finally found the YMCA. They have great programs and they have financial help if you need it. That was in CT. The average daycare out there was 500 to 800 and month and in CA I have found the same prices.

Our daycare is $110 a week, they provide breakfast and lunch. The only thing we have to provide is soy milk since our son doesn't drink regular milk.

It's like 600 for part time and 780 for full time. I got those prices from kindercare. It's expensive. My neighbor has her friend take care of her daughter for one hundred dollars a week. She now has to pay two hundred for two kids.
