a couple hours ago, I asked a question about evolution and that I beleive in God. I clearly asked for people not to comment on my being Christian, just to answer the question i had about evolution. and then some jerk on here starts saying stuff about "God's magical powers..." and "...God must have made your great-great grandparents out of thin air...oohh spooky!".
I didnt ask for that!
why do people on this site have to attack each other on their beleifs and then be such jerks about it? I've never been like that towards anyone on here, but yet big headed jerks have to be rude...what's up with that? (please no comments on evolution)

Ignore people like that. Don't let them get to you.
Pray for their salvation instead. It's not you that upsets them, it's God.

Actually you are lucky you do not see some of these people. Arguing religion goes all the way back to the beginning of time. Cain and Abel making a altar or sacrifice for God. God says yes to one and not the other. Jealously, hate, religious argument stated there, and how was it solved? With Murder and a mark of a beast being given to Cain, that 666 mark was upon him in the beginning. This same spirit was in days of Jesus, look how Judas killed his brother for a little spending money, but Jesus said a day would come that they will Kill you thinking they do God a service

You set the situation up, so don't start crying. You used the logic that evolution hadn't happened for 4,000 years and that you didn't think it was accurate. The point is that your imagination is very limited. The analogy that you don't accept things if you don't see them was perfectly valid.

"Since you never met your great-great-grandparents, then they must not have been born. God created them out of thin air, right?"

You altered the original quote and your phase "big headed jerks" proves you are one of the people you complain about.

Some people have no respect for the belief of others. These people also probably show little or no respect for themselves. It seems that people always try to be the biggest and smartest showoff -- As for your questions re: evolution, go back to the book of Genesis. God created it all.

Dont you know that to people perishing , the word of God is foolishness.

The world hates the name Jesus. It is the only name by which satans effort is powerless.

Dont judge. Go to the Bible. Pray, ask God. Forgive them. If they were without sin, they would not be treating you like that. We are sinners too. Forgive them.

Mathew 18:21-35

Just remember, God gave us our brains with our individual thoughts. Though we may not agree with others, each brain, thought, and opinion IS an act of a "higher being/presence".

You're right, we SHOULD be respectful of others as only the "higher" powers have the right to judge.

I know what your saying! i just looked into this section of YA for the first time yesterday and I was so overwhelmed by the amount of rude comments, pushing of personal beliefs and hypocracy I have seen in this section by people of ALL religions and beliefs. It is really so sad. All you can do is ignore the rude answers and enjoy the serious ones.

most people are confused, fearful and angry. attacking others provides a
brief outlet of the inner turmoil that they are experiencing 24/7.
and for others it is a comfort just to be heard. to not feel so alone, even though they quite often express themselves in hurtful ways.

to be sure, especially in this catagory of the answers forum,-true human nature is at its flagrant best.
