This is more of a hypothetical question in the context I am asking it, as it is easy to see many of us do not believe in the organized religions of the present/past.

It always amazes me how little most people of a religion know about their religion's history and concepts, but what amazes me even more is how the people that do can still affliliate with their religion.

These are the kind of people that I would envision would have supported Hitler during the Holocaust out of fear of punishment for disobeying.

What kind of God, and this does not go for every religion, but what kind of God would send people to hell for choosing the wrong religion. Even the most brainwashed of you must be able to admit that their is absolutely no proof of any religion. Quite on the contrary actually, modern science is increasingly ruling out the possibilities for the authenticity of contemporary religions.

There are things you can do to bodies to not make them decompose at a much slower rate, that is pretty basic stuff.

Power does not deserve worship, truth does. Yes, so much of religion is mind-numbing and disgusting. It seems more and more like a mass-brain washing scheme.

What some people will do for the name of religion is sickening! (Like justification of murder among other things)

One can only hope that real truth will come, physical not just some mumbo-jumbo someone yells out while wearing a sandwich board.

The only one worthy of worship is God, the God of the Bible, the supreme and sovereign creator. It is always interesting how some disparage "organized religion" without considering the alternative, which would be disorganized religion. Actually, Christianity is not really a religion, since a religion by its essence demands the person do certain things in order to appease God, in Christianity, the work has been done by Christ, there is nothing left for the believer to do to satisfy the holiness and righteousness of God. And, yes, many of us are fully aware of the history and concepts of Christianity, and do not need an atheist to lecture us on it.
I find also interesting that people like yourself seem to want to stymie the debate by using derogatory words (brainwashed) to somehow belittle us and raise yourself up.
God sends people to eternal judgment based on unforgiven sin, not which religion they belong to. God is loving, but is also holy, righteous and just. He cannot override one characteristic for another. God cannot allow the pollution of sin to enter His Heaven, therefore, if a person dies without the covering of the blood of Christ, they die in their sins and their works will be judged.
There is proof of Christ, His existence, His works, His death and resurrection. There is the evidence of the early Church which grew and flourished on the basis of Christ's resurrection. Modern science has not and cannot prove nor disprove anything in the spiritual or metaphysical realm.

He won't. Is it a coincidence that there are nearly an equal amount of people worshiping in all of the world's major religions? No one's going to hell for choosing the wrong religion.
