Yes, there is. Insert > Movie and Sounds > Movies from File and select your movie. I have PowerPoint 2003. When I insert a movie, it automatically asks me whether I want it to start automatically or on-click. If that doesn't work for you, then follow these instructions taken from Microsoft Help. I just searched for "movies autoplay".

1. On the slide, right-click the sound icon or movie.
2. On the shortcut menu (shortcut menu: A menu that shows a list of commands relevant to a particular item. To display a shortcut menu, right-click an item or press SHIFT+F10.), click Custom Animation.
3. Under Modify: Play in the Start box, click one of the following:
To play the sound or movie automatically, click With Previous.
To play the sound or movie when you click the mouse, click On Click.

Yes, there is a way. I did it for a school project and it was pretty cool. Go up to Insert, then go to Movies and Sounds, then click on Movie from File. Then you search for your video! It will add to your slide and just set it to play automatically.

Hope this helps!
