I'm sure that is only applicable to a small percentage of scientists and theologists, probably in the same percent as computer programmers who convert to Islam and professional swimmers who convert to Islam.

I didn't think so. The majority of American scientists are non-religious or atheist. 97% of the National Academy of Science is atheist - those are our smartest and most prolific scientists.
