Why does the nurse sometime slap your butt before an injection there? Has anybody experienced this? What'd you do after?
It kind of freaked me out.

I've NEVER experienced this. Do you ever have a witness? Is it the same nurse all the time? Is this person flirting with you? Do you like it? These are questions that need to be asked.

When I give my horse an injection, I punch her neck really hard before I jab the needle in. This temporarily brings a numbing sensation to the area and also increases blood flow so that the medication is disbursed into the blood stream quicker.
Same scenario!

I've never experienced or heard of this. However, she could be doing it to get the blood flowing through that area so that the shot will work its way through the body faster.

She is doing it so you focus on the slap not the shot its a tactic...
Just say....do it again....LOL then you will freak her out
