You should probably quit, but you have the right to waste your money any way you see fit. That's the beauty of America.

Oh man, sounds like the last 3 years of my life. I ve been gambling online since i turned 18 and play all the time, i know what it's like to go through great weeks then lose everything you worked for in a few hours.
The only thing i can tell you is to maybee take a break for a few days and try and froget about the hole your currently in, because if you don't you will only dig deeper. Try and win only a set amount for your session and stop after that and come back the next day.
Playing poker has it's huge ups and downs so just try and slow down and try to build up some money. I know on Party Poker you could set a weekly limit that would limit you from taking too much out of your bank when you would go on a losing streak. That helped me out alot because not only does it stop the "bleeding" but it gives you a few days before you can get back on the tables and lets you clear your mind.
Other than that, Good luck.

Hi David in a card game no matter what you do you should know that your luck goes around in circles. Round about the table you play or even on website you will notice someone is hot and rakes in the chips. Take a break get away from the table. In recreation games with friends you go to the bathroom grab a brew from the icebox take your time before jumping back in maybe a couple hands have already gone around the table. Cards is like golf if you are too serious then you will be upset with yourself in the end. Play for fun anti up and know your luck depends on your playing ability. Your luck comes back for you.

You should STOP!!! my neighbor was in this same problem and she never stopped. In 1 week, she was $10,000 in debt. Then she had to file for bankupty after 1 month and now she sleeps and bags for money on the streets of Portland, Oregon. Stop. I don't want this to happen to you. Maybe you can try a new game. Or you can wait for a month and then go back. You can tell yourself, after I loose 3-4 (no more than 7 times, I would do) then you would stop and wait for 1 week or 1 month and then go back to play. I don't know if you can go to the website and get tips or help, but I would if I were you. I hope I helped.
Good Luck!

I played holdem hardcore for a while, I know exactly what you are talking about. If you really love playing poker, play tournaments, where you can control what you pay to play. Failing that, play cash games in person where you can read people and give off false signals to your advantage.
Here is what I did: I switched to Blackjack. It is the only game where you are guaranteed odds against your opponent (the house) in the long run with the right strategy.
Check out the link to the article about the MIT Blackjack team.

I deal poker for a living. I also play online poker. You need to be careful when playing online because it is so much easier to bet than at a live game. Online it's just a click of a button. At a live table you actually see how much you are betting. I would recommend taking a break for a while. When you're taking a bunch of bad beats, you need a breather so you don't go on tilt.

Yes you should stop playing on line. Online players suck. They chase everything and end up pulling some BS on the river. Also if you want to play with better people and stop getting cracked with some crap I would play higher stakes. But my advice is play at a casino. Learn to read people (which you can't really do on line). Plus it is much better when you put someone on tilt in real life. Anyway shuffle up and deal.

Dude, stop...ur putting tons of stuff at stake when you put money on it. Just play for fun. If u really want money, invest in the stock market...at least its easier to predict, and its not TOTALLY luck.
