Yes I've felt it to be that way. The game is to find our way out of this earthly life. In order to break free from the trappings of this illusion we are stuck in, we go on a search for clues and truths that take us in the direction where we will be liberated.

Yes it does feel that way alot, the gods are the programmers and we are the players, and when we die we go back to whatever souls do on the astral plane.
it would be ironic if life turned out to be an RPG instead of a way to gain higher understanding of the universe XD

no; we are just as free as god - and we and god are one in the same - if you feel like a prisioner, it is because you choose to be --- search your unknown depths of the "self", at the bottom (or top) is freedom from that last thing that holds you a prisioner

i dont think it is god playing the sims but more a cosmic MMO played by a remote alien race.
