I know very little about Islam, and I am curious if there are any differences in the concept of Hell between the two faiths.

hello,
first of all i am a moslem and i would like to say that some information or comments that were posted about islamic heaven and hell arent true at all.
There is only one hell and one heaven that God created and disbelievers will go to hell.
Heaven has all the beautifull and marvellous things that one can ever wish for and it isnt just about virgins you people!!!!!!!!!!!
but i think that you wont get the perfect answer for a question like this over here. i would rather recommend you go to an islamic center and ask all your questions and go to a church and ask your questions and do some research and see for yourself.and i am sure you will be knowing the right path yourself.... just give it time and effort.... and believe me it is more than worth it.
In the end i am saying this is hell or heaven we are talking about so we all better really search and read and ask and be true to ourselves because we have to try our best to choose the right path that would keep us away from HELL and lead us to HEAVEN!!

i assume we will locate out whilst the Hell-fires burn. yet, in basic terms as a reality checker, we Christians do no longer all believe that Jews are inevitably going to Hell. and that's beneficial to word that Muslims and Jews might the two might desire to be in 2 hells too. And what approximately Scientology, Wicca, Pagan, and all the different worldwide religions? Are we going to Hindu Hell for eating Cows?

Christian hell is forever, you will never get out of this place once you are there (according to the Bible). Muslim hell is more like a purgatory. They believe they'll all go there first (with some exceptions), get cleansed from their sins there and then go to heaven (I was told this by a Muslim lady)

That would make sense since the Muslim heaven is so different from the Christian heaven.

Yes and no. It is same in the sense of it being hot and all firey. But different since you don't spend all eternity in hell but rather get punished for your sins and spend some time there then moved to eternal heaven.

I think they think Hell doesn't last for an eternity. Your sentence depends on how good of a Muslim you were.

Every Hell is Christian hell. If you are Muslim, Buddha, Jewish, every hell is Christian hell.

Theres only one hell, and those that worship God's prophets instead of God will go there

I don't know about their hell, but I've heard they have like 72 virgins in heaven. I wonder, are those virgins male or female?
