I guess use the same recipes just minus any meat, fish or eggs. Look for cheeses that do not have animal rennet if you don't mind dairy products.
There are a lot of vegetarian meat alternatives if you have the money and access. There is vegetarian pepperoni, cheeses, etc.
I have found black olives goes well with cheese. So if you are interested look for pitted black olives. Cook the black olive along with the cheeses on top of the pizza. Use whole wheat or at least unbleached flour if possible.
I have found there is a special seasoning that is unique to pizza. If you can find it then you should have a really good tasting pizza.

My wife is vegan, so I know all about this. There is a brand called Tofutti. It makes everything DAIRY AND MEAT FREE.
One of their products is a frozen pizza with a very good melty vegan cheese. My wife usually tops it with sun-dried tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, and sliced tomatoes. For a more meaty taste she sometimes slices smoked tofu very thin and pan-grills it for a few minutes before she adds it to the pizza.
If you didn't know any better you could swear you are eating a supreme pizza with ham instead of pepperoni. Sometimes it comes out better than my store-bought frozen pizza.

Exactly the same as a regular pizza, except without the pepperoni. Did you know you can buy cheese made from soy, for vegetarians? It doesn't melt quite the same as cheddar, but it does melt and works well on top of a pizza.

Make your favorite pizza dough. Spread some pasta sauce on it (Ragu or Prego ok), lay slices of Provolone cheese on top. Cover the cheese with topings: sliced canned mushrooms, sliced tomatoes, bell pepper, olives, red onion, marinated artichokes. Bake at 425F for 20 min or until cheese is bubbly.

I like to use Alfredo sauce on my pizza instead of tomato pizza sauce. Then I add thinly sliced onion, mushrooms, black olives, green olives, green pepper, fresh sliced tomatoes or drained diced tomatoes, spinach etc. Then top it with mozzarella, Swiss cheese and Parmesan cheese and bake till golden and bubbly.

1 medium zucchini, diced
1 medium-size yellow crookneck squash, diced
1/2 tablespoon dried crushed red pepper
1 16-ounce baked cheese pizza crust (such as Boboli)
1 14-ounce jar mushroom pizza sauce
3 large garlic cloves, minced
1 cup packed shredded mozzarella cheese (about 4 ounces)
1/2 cup drained oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes, thinly sliced
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 450 deg. F. Heat oil in heavy medium skillet over medium heat. Add zucchini, yellow squash and crushed red pepper; saute until vegetables are almost tender, about 5 minutes.

VEGAN pizza (no animal products)-
Ingredients:
fresh pizza dough (see reciepe below)
1 can or jar of tomato sauce, enough to cover the dough (about 2 cups)
dried or fresh Italian spices (optional)
chopped vegetables and other toppings to taste:
onion, green pepper, red pepper
mushrooms, olives
zucchini, cooked squash, dried tomatoes, cooked beans or lentils
broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, kale, spinach
minced fresh garlic, dried crushed red pepper
tofu, vegetarian "sausage," vegetarian "Canadian bacon"
etc.
grated VeganRella (optional)
Method:
Prepare your pizza dough as described below or according to the box directions (Bisquick used to include a pizza dough recipe on the box), or let thaw, if it's frozen. Scatter a bit of corn meal into a pizza pan, pie plate, or casserole, and press the dough into the pan. Cover thinly with red sauce and add Italian spices (optional). Add vegetables and other toppings. Top with VeganRella (or with mozzarella, cheddar, colby, and/or Monterey Jack cheese for a non-vegan pizza). Bake about 20 minutes at 350 degrees F (if you use cheese, bake until the cheese has completely melted and starts to turn brown around the pizza's edge).
Serve hot, topped with alfalfa sprouts (optional).
VEGAN Pizza Dough-
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour, half whole-wheat and half white
1 cup water
2 tablespoons yeast
dash salt
1 tablespoon honey or molasses (optional)
1/2 teaspoon rosemary, 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Method:
Mix the ingredients and knead (or let a breadmaking machine do this work). Let sit and rise for an hour in a warm, dark place.
Strech out the dough to fit a floured pan (9-inch pie pan or other pizza pan) and add toppings.
