ugh these people. why can't they just answer a question!?!? arus.geo did this to me too. (you know that you can report people for not answering a question, right?)
anyway, the question. on the left limewire menu, click on "applications", then type in all or part of the name of the application that you are looking for. but, before downloading, be wary: anything that has a file size in KB (kilobytes) is a virus. good luck!

They are going into your share folder. Find where your share folder is.
Go to your start menu-programs-accessories- windows explorer- click on your c drive, then owners folder, you will see a share folder in there. Everything you download off Limewire will go in this folder.
Please to remember to have a good anti-virus program and spy ware program running while downloading programs. After the program is downloaded. Right Click on it and run a virus scan on it to make sure there is nothing in it!

You'll most likely get viruses from downloading programs. But music and videos are okay.

LIMEWIRE will give you viruses. It happened to me, it will happen to you. They add spyware and other things normally undetectable by virus scans. Download Hijack this and search for abnormal files. It works

Depends on what programs you are downloading...
Do the files have .rar extensions on them? If so, you will need to get WinRar from www.rarlabs.com to extract the files.
If the files are cd image files (.iso or the like) they need to be burned to cd or opened with some application like Daemon Tools before you can run them.
Disclaimer: Downloading pirated software is illegal.
