I have tried and he is open to that conversation but then I clam up and change the subject or focus on him being a doctor. He once said I was hot and cold with him. Do you think he will make a move first or will he wait for me considering that he is the professional one????? His staff already thinks we are involved as they say he is always different with me than his other patients and they think it is cute. What shoudl I do? Truthfully. I am not young - 31 and he is 38.

I highly doubt he will make a move first if he values his career. It can be a criminal offence in some places for a doctor of any kind to come on to a patient. It is different if you initiate it and the two of you are completely open about it, don't hide it. The best way to bring it up is certainly not during a pap smear (lol) but ease it into the conversation if you are unsure. You could also try to get one of the nurses in the office to help you out too. I hope this helps, even if just a little bit.

Don't even walk down that road. Men always flirt,shamelessly at that. You made a vow in front of a hell of alot of people(most likely) to be with your husband forever. Why trade momentary happiness for someone you've been with for quite some time,whose been there for you,through thick and thin. By you encouraging him,it just makes him flirt even more. Most likely he is flirting with more women then you. Safe yourself the grief and embarassment and don't even try to play that game. If you have children for the sake of them and your marriage get a new doctor. For all its worth saying,your children will have less respect for you because they will see you as a cheater and what values do cheaters have? You should go to your doctors appointments and come home and be the wife you have been,and give up on this fantasy.

Take a chance & ask him out for a coffee, tell him at the same time that you will look for another doctor if that's what is blocking your friendship. Good Luck!

if he has feelings for you he would have to drop you as a patient or be in serious trouble --- he will not make a move --- if you are serious get another doctor THEN see him outside of work and let him know how you feel --- ask him for a coffee

okay, you have a hing for your doctor? Um...I would just casually go into the subject and say to him,"Would you like to come over for dinner on _ I am making _" so you don't just all of a sudden burst.

if both of you are single and like each other then go for it. but you have to make the first move because if he does, he can lose his license.

what do you have to lose girl? Ask him out...for lunch or something casual. If he says no, you have it resolved and if you feel uncomfortable, then see another doctor in the practice. If he says yes, then GREAT!
