If you are looking for the safest cars that are affordable you should consider a volvo. They are a very safe car but they are not necessarily the most stylish. Another option would be a VW. They are a very safe vehicle and have some stylish models, Im not sure on the price comaprisons between a VW and a volvo though.

a mit. eclipse / honda civic......the eclipse is pop with the teens- because of shape/ etc.- not bad on mileage and durability either. The civic is rated higher on crash testings though- and is another sporty type of car.
