It's going in circles. Don't you think the answer to the question, "Does a god exist?" should be that we don't know?

There is NO PROOF. Not that He is there and not that He isn't. I do see strong evidence in the chirality of both proteins and DNA. If their handiness is not correct the string can't form. Since when produces spontaneously they are 50/50 "Rs" and "Ls". There is no way that separation of the two happens without outside direction... This is so close to being proof of God existence I am almost ready to affirm it as such.. Without hesitation it is super STRONG evidence... Jim

The Bible does not prove that God exists.

The Bible is a book of faith. It is not mathematical proof of a theorem or of anything else. You decide to believe it or not based on your personal experience of searching and/or finding God.

The Bible, however, can help you to find God.

The answer to the question "Does God exist?" will be a definite yes for some people who found Him. Will be a don't know for some other people, and a No for some others. These answers are very personal. The search for God is something very personal, although some people can help you, if you want.

I don't think God's existence can be proved. However, I do think it can be "felt". And trying to prove his existence or inexistence is pointless, that's why there is so much discussion about it.

As a Christian, there is no way that the Bible or anything else will prove the existence of God. Why? The Christian belief is based on faith alone. That is what a fideist is -- a person of faith. Faith is biblically described (even though that doesn't prove anything to non-believers) as believing in the unseen. If it is unseen, I cannot give someone empirical evidence of God's existence. So the Bible helps guide the believers and often speaks to unbelievers and somehow gives them the faith to believe in the unseen. So if I have to see it first in order to believe, then I am not a person of faith after all.

The Bible itself seems to prove that a higher intelligence (God) was at work writing it.

66 Books,
40 Authors,
Written in a period of over 2000 years,
And yet, it has a cohesive message and theme, displays historical accuracy, and lays out many prophecies which have been fulfilled.
Only a supreme, non-human being could accomplish such a feat.

I don't use the Bible to support my *belief* that God exists. And I don't need scientific, petri dish, replicable 1000x proof of God's existence. Geez, sometimes I think it's the people who like to pick at scabs who go into these forums!

The Bible doesn't go in circles. In fact it has a solid begining and end. It has the beging and end with Jesus Christ. It also has a constant rythm

What goes in circles is humanism.

You mean, you can't prove that God exists by using the Bible? DAMN! I was going to use the Egyptian Book of the Dead to prove Amen-Ra exists - No, not RAmen. :oP~~

In the beginning was God and he created this world that was void and nothing. The word is God. Blessed is the man that have not seen and believed. God is real and his holy spirit is evidence of that.
