Doctor's letter or prescription will be sufficient in most cases.

If no prescription, (pharmacist needs it for filing after dispensing drug to you), the pharmacist's sticker on the container with details of your doctor's name and tel. #. so that if you were stopped by the security, you can have them verify the information on the bottle.

You should tell your doctor that you intend to take a plane trip. If he/she is not available, then have the pharmacist help you with proper identification of the drug and contact details.

There is always a way if the cause is genuine and you have means to prove that everything is legal - up and up.

I would assume a diagnosed medical condition would be the requirement!

When I flew internationally last month I carried my prescription drugs in their original packets that had my name and the prescribing doctor's name and details on it.
