No belief is worth that. To say a belief is worth more than life itself defeats the whole purpose of believing.

Many people feel that their beliefs are worth dieing for, rather than be forced into believing something that they don't. Also, many people wouldn't just let people kill them over a belief, so they may have to kill in self-defense.

The bible is a book of legal claims, in the old testament God gave the Israelis a country or large tracks of land and I using this example because it's easy to explain.
What is that claim worth? If people would stop believing in the bible claim, it would nullify the claims, That's a lot of Gold, oh God also said Gold is valuable, he even made the street in heaven out of Gold, now maybe you can see it from another angle, think the bible is full of law ans laws.

because if you are born with a beliefe and model your whole life around that belief, that belief becomes truth for you.
the falsity of that truth could send your whole world crashing.
humans need to believe. its their life source. how they get up in the morning.
its reliance on TRUTH. and if we cant trust truth, we cant trust anything anymore.
beliefs are important.
that doesnt justify harming ANY of God's creatures, but this is why people fight and kill for beliefs. its the truth upon which their whole universe rests.

It's not. What I don't get is why people are fighting and killing for a religion that teaches not to fight or kill. It's absurd
I guess it comes down to religion and culture in that situation though

I think people who kill in the name of God are liars.
Most wars are because of mans greed and hate.
Just as the twin towers ,that was hate.Nothing to do with God.
The one war,the final war will destroy the evil that is behind war.
I will die for my faith-Jesus Christ-but I know he will be with me.

It's not, because it doesn't teach the person being hurt or killed anything, it just shows everyone else how harmful and careless and destructive you are to the human race.

I have NO idea.
If you're not a Pagan, we won't threaten you with damnation or even a hangnail. So there's certainly no reason to kill anyone over it.
