I think you need to put a lien on the property. Take your contract and all paperwork to an attorney. Because of a title search when selling property, the lien will have to be paid to clear it for the sale.

Did you renovate a house and are trying to collect the money owed for services? Get an attorney as long as you have a signed contract you can collect.

What does that mean? Are you renting and want to collect from your landlord? Are you trying to recoup your expenses on your taxes?
