Is my cat a persian mix?

You can see my cat in the pic. She is not a pedigree but she is black long-haired and her tail is magnificent - so long-haired and fluffy. People who see her keep thinking she's persian, although her face is not persian at all. She has a lovely 'moggie' face - not pug. I have no idea if she is part persian or not but so many people think she is - does anyone know by looking at her pic?

There are a lot of cats that have long hair. She is definitely a Domestic Long Hair, but just which breed in her background caused it is a guess. If her face is more like any other cat face, rather than pugged, maybe some Maine Coon in there somewhere. If she seems large for her age, I'd guess there is some Maine Coon in there somewhere. They tend to be large muscular cats. Check her feet. Does she have a lot of fur like between her toes and pads. That is one of the signs of Maine Coon. They call it snowshoe feet.

she may have some persian in her, my half himalayan cat was one in a litter of lots of longhaired black boys.

She looks like atypical DMH or DLH. Not really Persian at all.

Himis have POINTS like Siamese. Persians are one color. This is NOT a Himi.
