ever since i became a vegetarian my mom complains i dont eat enough. today i ate:

2 bottle of water
2 glasses of milk
toasted cheese sandwich
cup of fruit
half a soy burger, w/ pickle, lettuce, tomato, and onion
jello cup

isnt that enough? im fourteen years old and a vegetarian for about a half a year now.

NO! It's not enough. You aren't eating enough protein, you need more vegetables, you need to drink more liquids......I could continue, but I think you get the idea. You are NOT eating a healthy diet, and you need to get some guidelines on a healthy vegetarian diet for a girl of 14. Listen to your Mom!

no sorry to say but for a person of your age you should be consuming 1,500 calories and it just doesn't seem like you are. I think you should eat more even if you are a vegetarian. You should try eating something like fish for your protein. I wish you luck with being a vegetarian and I hope this doesn't leave to you becoming anorexic.

try to eat some beans or tofu to give you vitamins and I will check it on my health chart... just a second!

you need more protein (peanuts, tofu, fish)
and you need more foods that contain enough energy endorfins
(more than 1cup of fruit, veggies (raw or steamed not fried), and juice drinks

you need to eat more..

for instance

your breakfast:

*1 glass of milk
*jello cup
*cup of fruit
*yogurt cup


lunch:

*sandwich (cheese, tofu, pb&j)
*some kind of fruit
*some kind of veggie
*water or juice box
*chips (natural or something like lays)

dinner:

*main course
*side dish of a veggie
*cup of milk or juice and a cup of water
*some type of beans and bread or pasta


snacks:

*water water water
*fruit snack or a slice of homemade bread
*raisins or nuts

Hey Stick Boy- eat when you want and what you want. I follow that method and I have an 19.7 BMI- not bad.

omg that is a awesome diet but i wold drink a little bit more.andi love how vegitarians do that but i do feel sorry for those cows. mooooooooo

its more then enough tel your mom not to worry and that if your not eating enough the signs will be obvious, also tell her its better to be skinny then fat

i guess thats enough im only 12 and am vegetarian too i only a salad today thats it no snacks(ieat once a day )
and i only weigh 56 pounds, no lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
