this is my my family:
Grams- 70
Mom- 46
Jim (stepfather)- 50
Matt- (brother)- 30- divorced with triplets:
age 8-Susan, Alex & Michael (the boys are identical)
Lucy (sister) 22- boyfriend, no kids. She`s a twin
James (brother) 22- married to Allison- 4 yr. old son, Adrien.
Rich (brother) 18- gf Lexi (she`s stuck up)
me- 14
Paige (sister)- 5 months younger than me
Piper (sister)- 1 1/2 years younger than me
My mom might want to have more kids, because Jim doesn`t have any.

My question is: ould you like to be in this family? If not, why not? What size family would you like?

I love it, but friends all say that they would hate it. I hope my mom has another kid. My friend`s think I`m nuts for that too. My Grams lives with us. She cooks with me a lot.

What do you think? Would you like a family this size? Am I nuts for liking it?

To each their own. SOme are not cut out to endure the sharing that must take place when living with a larger family. Some prefer the individual atttention for themselves. Personally I like large families because that's what I came from. Christmas get togethers are fun. Then everyone gets older and folks start dying out. I wish I'd had more kids. I had 2 + one step-daughter. Now I have one grandchild. Looking back, I wish we'd had more children.

You have a huge social network and are probably busy all the time, logging thousands of hours on your cell phone each month.

Please keep in mind people like myself - introverts, loners, with very weak or non-existent family ties. There are very few social functions in lives like mine, holidays and birthdays become irrelevant. Days and weeks and years become an endless blur. But I also have a lot of freedom with very little hassle from other people. As for cell phones, I keep a pre-paid one for emergencies which I use maybe once a month. My obligation to my job is pretty straight-forward and they hardly ever call me at home.

Coming from a large family, you know what attachment and obligations are all about.

The size family I like: me and my mom - who is unfortunately out of state anyway.

Wait a minute: so many women answering here. Are only women family-oriented? Are us men more likely to be loners?

I'd prefer to have a small family. I don't have much to do with my extended family anyway, though I'm very close to my immediate family (my parents and two sisters). When I grow I don't plan to have kids and I'm not sure whether I'll get married or not either. The good thing about having a small family is that you're not obliged to a lot of people and its easier to get out of stupid holidays and family celebrations.

I would because you have sisters so close to age with you and so close to age with me. But I would also like to be an only child because my little brothers and sister blame stuff on me that I didnt do of course and guess who gets in trouble? I would love my grandma to live with me! I want my mom to have another kid too. No, your not nuts unless I am too.

I would love to have a big family. Especially at this time of year.

I have only ever had my mum, my two bro's and my nana to celebrate Christmas with and I can't wait until me and my brothers have kids and can all get together for the festivities.
