This may be a weird question but I am curious.I have a 19 month old son and his poops are still really soft.Is that normal for this age?He eats everything I do so I don't understand why it is not like adult poop.Any ideas why?

My son (21 months) still has soft stools, I remember my daughter getting the "adult" type right before potty training so about 2 and a half.

Their system is still maturing and they do not process all the food that they eat. It is very normal. My son will even include whole kernels of corn and orange pulp with juice still in them. Just a useless bit of info there :)

All in all they are normal for the age.

That is a good thing, we sure don't want them straining and having hard BM's. They do sit and squash them a bit so that is why they don't quite look like an adults.

It is common...remember his system is still immature...so food does not stay in as long. Things can run thru his system faster than others. If he is healthy, and happy..i would'nt worry. :-)
