Attempting such is risky for your horse if that matters to you. There is a reason that medications must be legally formulated for a horse and administered by a licensed individual as well. Just because you see something that appears to be the same ingredient in a human product, that does not mean it will be accepted properly by your horse's system. A horse's metabolism is quite different from other creatures. For instance, there is a medication made for canines that can be used in equine treatment. The proper dosage for a canine (60 pounds) would be 227 mg but for a horse (1,100 pounds), the dosage is 57 mg. Do you understand the premise here? One of the best things you can do for your horse is to relieve the stress that is producing the condition. Do you know what is stressing him so severely? That would be most helpful. Horses are very ulcer prone, some more than others, but unless you remove the stress, treatment is relatively useless. Good luck. Wish you the best with your horse. This can be very difficult. With ulcers, there are cases, as with laminitis, the typical ulcer medication is useless because it does not address the area of medical need. This is, again, a risky prospect and there is a lot involved in making this decision and the proper treatment. You should consider carefully.

Why don't you go to the web site ask.com Type in bland diets, and it should give you foods he can and cannot eat. The site will probably have recipes too.
