I believe that when we die, our bodies go back to the dust from which we were created, and the memories of us go back to our creator until a resurrection. Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 and 10 tell us that "as for the dead, they are concious of NOTHING AT ALL, and that there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in the grave." Psalms 146:4 says that "when a man dies, his thoughts do perish". I don't believe that there is a 'soul' that survives death and goes to heaven or hell... if that were true, what would be the point of a resurrection?

Logically, I don't think anything will happen to me after death except for cremation and scattering, heh.
That's not to say that I don't want there to be an afterlife. Heck, I would LOVE to go to Heaven, provided it's not altogether too preachy. Maybe Nirvana and enlightenment would be nicer.

What you believe while alive determines where you spend the rest of eternity after you die...if you deny Christ as Lord and Savior you will be dammed for eternity, but if you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and savior you are given the key to eternal life in heaven along side of God.

I have faith in what God's word, the Bible, says on this matter. If you read the scripture at Ecclesiastes 9:5,6, which basically says that the "dead are conscious of nothing at all...all the love & hate they had when alive has also perished".

We start the process of being born and setting forth a new mission again. We just don't remember our previous lives. But first you have to be conscious of your state. Peace and love be with you.

Well, it depends on if you are cremated or not. If you aren't, and you do have a funeral, then you will be painted up to look pretty, people will probably look at you, then into the box and out of site you go. If you are cremated, then either someone will have your ashes in a container in their home, or they will spread your ashes some place. Simple.

For all: our spirit separates from our body.
For the believer: The body goes to the grave awaiting resurrection, and the spirit immediately enters the presence of Jesus Christ.
