rub a little oil or vaseline on front legs so he can lick it off.I have 4 cats and it works for me. do this for 3 or 4 days/It is really probably hair balls and if he is coughing and gagging this will help get them up. he may be eating to fast for the food to digest. try giving him food in smaller amounts several times a day so he dosent get so hungry he wolfs it down to fast.also if your cat is neutered or spayed they shouldnt have fish because it is to high in ash and bad for the kidneys especially male cats. get him or her off any fish

How old is the cat? Older pets have problems digesting food they had no problems with when they were younger. It could be a matter of changing to a more mild food. Do you give hairball remedy? Cats need it weekly to keep hairballs from forming. Hairballs (in case you didn't know) are common causes of vomiting. Cats vomit for no reason. It's a mystery sometimes. Clavamox is an antibiotic, sometimes they can cause vomiting. If you're pet is older than 8, get blood work. If younger, wait a day or 2, it may go away on its own. The fact you were given meds with no instructions is not right. In fact, it's illegal. All prescription medicine must have instructions, BY LAW!! Consider a different vet. I don't feel comfortable telling you what dosage to give. I don't know what size cat you have, or what size syringe you have.

Canned human food - especially tuna are not at all good for cats. For now the best way to deal with vomiting is not to feed the cat. A twelve hour fast with only water available will give his tummy and intestinal tract a rest. If he vomits when he eats again then I would contact the vet.

Cats can be sensitive to food changes, mine pukes with salmon, not tuna. If the problem persists call your cats vet.

My cat for her whole life pukes at least once a week or every other. Mine is fine. It is something she does. Same thing... partially digested food. Being she never did this before you might want to have her checked out at a vet first.

well my cat does that all the time, hairballs or not, and he seems fine to me! He'll be 7 years old next year. sometimes cats just regurgitate some of what they've eaten. If you feel that you need to call the vet, then do so and trust your instincts, but as for me and my family, we haven't taken him to a vet in 7 years, and he seems fine as Hell. *sorry for the language*

Some cats vomit quite often. I remember the first time my cat did that, we brought her to a vet and she couldn't find anything wrong with her. So she operated her and looking around inside her, still can't find what was wrong and cost me almost $800. My suggestion, buy one of those dry food for cat with sensitive stomach, I know science diet has one, and watch for a week. it worked for my cat. Good luck

You might want to consider calling the vet to see what he/she says. But sometimes, my little kitty eats so fast, that he throws his food right back up. It could be a number of things, but just to be on the safe side, call the vet. Good luck.

Nah, cats vomit quite a bit. If he continues this way tomorrow, give the vet a call. Don't worry so much, he probably had a little upset stomach and will feel better tomorrow!
