Is it Minute Frosting?
INGREDIENTS
2 cups white sugar
3 egg whites
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
3 tablespoons cold water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
In the top of a double boiler, combine the sugar, egg whites, corn syrup, water and vanilla. Place over boiling water and beat with an electric mixer on high speed for 7 minutes, or until frosting forms peaks when beaters are raised. Remove from heat. Use immediately to frost a cooled cake.

Royal Icing.. useually used for decorating gingerbread houses and wedding cakes. 1 pound icing sugar, 3 oz egg whites and 1/8tsp of cream of tarter. Add the cream of tarter to the sugar then beat in the whites till it forms a smooth paste, you may need to hold back a touch of the egg whites depending on humidity, etc. This will dry hard by the way.

3 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
add sugar and water in saucepan, bring to a rolling boil.
boil until mixtue hairs when you lift spoon out of mixture.
at the same time have the egg whites beating on high until fluffy
when sugar mixture hairs add to egg white slowly while beating on high speed.
continue to beat until peaks will form in icing add vanilla and beats a little longer.
have some one fill the saucepan with cold water for easier cleanup
makes enouch icing to cover a 2 l ayer cake.

Beat 1 egg white, add 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 Tablespoons milk, and 1cup powdered sugar. Beat together for a few minutes. Then add one more cup powdered sugar and 3/4 cup shortening and beat for a few minutes more. This is a good filling for gobs.

I'm not sure about egg whites, but I just mix some powder sugar, milk and butter until I get the flavor I like. You could add anything to it like vanilla or coffee.

Powdered suger, a stick of margerine, eggs, baking soda, and cocoa if you want chocolate icing !! I think those are the ingredients, I have not made icing in a while !!

1 cup Crisco shortening
1 can Sweetened condensed milk
1-2 tsp vanilla
Beat in mixer until light and fluffy. I turn it on and forget about it for a while. at least 20 minutes
