I think I really like this girl that I met online. Well, we used to be friends in elementary and middle school, but we have recently reconnected online after not seeing each other for like 4 years. I have told her before that I like her and she doesnt really have a bf. The other day, one of both of our friends told me that she was talking about how she thinks she is starting to really like some guy. This other friend said it sounds like it could be me, but she wouldn't give a name. What should I do?

I forgot to mention....we live about an hour apart so we can't exactly hang out all the time. Does that change anything?

if youve already told her that you like her why don't you just ask her if she likes you? if it didn't bother her that you told her you liked her then the worse that could happen is that she says no, but thats better than you thinking she likes you, and then next thing you know she is with another guy, because you never asked and never knew who she actually liked...
GOOD LUCK!!!

Having done plenty of internet dating myself I can assure you that e-mail and instant messenger is completely different than meeting someone in the real world. Many times you like someone alot based on your online communication only to meet and find out there is no chemistry. Of course the opposite can also be true. She may indeed mean that she likes you but before you go jumping into the empty world of online romances ask this lovely lady out for a cup of coffee or dinner and get to know the real girl behind the keyboard. A tangible romance is going to be much more enjoyable I promise. I'd say since she told a mutal friend she liked someone but refused to name names it was probably because she knew your mutual friend would know who she was talking about if she revealed the name. It's likely you so cut the cords and make it happen.

When you told her that you liked her, how did she react? I think that you should ask questions to feel her out about whether she might be interested. If you can, try to spend a little time with her hanging out. You might be able to learn more about her and vice versa. It will give you and her a chance to see if there is chemistry.

ask her out on a weekend for dinner or drinks...
the 1 hr drive is worth everything if you guys could get together... Or you should make an effort to drive over to her town.

i think theres deffinetly potential here..since you really like her , this might be hard but maybe you should wait a couple days to see how things play out..THEN make your move.

If you like her, be the one to tell her. If she isn't interested, she's not interested.
What do you have to lose?
