In the eighties it was " This crime is random"

Why are we spending billions of dollars on the war on drugs? When will we see results from those billions?

And the big question. If We are the beacon of morality on the planet, then why are so many people 1in 32 adults in jail or on probation?

If they were more correct, they should say "prohibition related."

According to the US Department of Justice, the only drug with any real connection to drug-induced violent crime is alcohol.

The violent crime associated with illegal drugs is primarily "systemic". That is, it is created by the system of prohibition, just as alcohol prohibition produced a huge increase in homicides during the 1920s.

I agree, the prisons are full. And about every county jail is full of people waiting to go to prison. It's sad to see a country like ours, to turn their heads when the prisons are full with small crimes. I guess it's less paperwork for the cops. But Prisons are becoming industries as fast as they can build them. And to receive federal funding they must keep the jails full. I believe drugs are everywhere so why not arrest every person that has ever smoked pot and who ever has ran a red light and so on. Oklahoma has the largest amounts of females in prison. Women are becoming more violent I read, but who hasn't broken the law in some form or fashion?
