Polygamy sucks and I hate it so badly that I don't care that whether I'll go to hell or not. And I won't talk to a polygamy man or his wives except the first one..My uncle is practicing polygamy , i hate it everytime i sees his face ! I don't say hi or smile anymore I just sorta like discriminate him. I do talk with his first wife though (shes on the other side of the family). I nearly spit at his presence.My parents don't like that..

lookin2cjc - well his first wife been crying and theres so much pain she's bearing, i know she loves that man so much .I
People ,you know how its like to love someone so much and suddenly that man/woman you love sort of like betray you and wish to sleep with another woman and expect you to deal with it. How can ANYONE be happy with that?

Geeess people, I'm a muslim whos against polygamy! It's permitted in Islam under some rules and regulations. I'm just against it because polygamy is not like what it used to be! People suffer nowadays!

you need to understand why polygamy was allowed. God Almighty temporarily ordered polygamy but yet very highly discouraged it.
be careful and don't prohibit what Allah Almighty has made permissible!!!

Any form of descrimination is wrong. Polygamy isn't something u have to agree with. U're also missing out on lots of other things u could be sharing with ur family.
Why do u only talk to his first wife? Isn't she just as guilty as the other ones? Doesn't she practice polygamy as well?
I don't think u're a bad person at all. The fact that u took the time to write this question tells me that u do care for others. It also tells me u have a good moral concious. Let them know how u feel, and take part in other qualities they may have.

I don't think you are a bad person at all.
Your uncle seems to be very insensitive to his 1st wife who seems to be trying to be a good wife to him. I don't know anyone in this kind of relationship. I don't understand how it can work. But I am wondering if it's the practice of polygamy that's the problem or is it just your uncle. Are not there some polygamy marriages that work for all involved including the first wife?
The problem I see with Polygamy is it allows a few rich men to hog more then their share of the eligible women from the not so rich lonely men.

You certainly have the right to your opinion. I would stay away from those folks , if I were you, I do not blame you for the disgust, I feel the same way, but I think they are mentally ill, or at least deficient in some way, like morally bankrupt. You cannot change them.

Polygamy is a sin against God. Just like your hatred. Jesus said if you hate you commit murder. All of us sin. The difference is if you are saved you should feel convicted when you hate. Talk to him about it and let him know it is a sin. Later, Mike

the fact that you worry about your anger and your salvation indicates how you've been indoctrinated. polygamy is against the law and your uncle is breaking the law. you need to understand your inner reasons why you feel so strongly against him--personally, i don't blame you.

You don't have to agree with it, but if someone chooses to be a polygamist that is their choice, and they're not hurting anyone, and you shouldn't be rude to them. It's really none of your business. Though I do think that, if a man is allowed multiple wives, a woman should be allowed multiple husbands.

Aren't we as humans supposed to love everybody, even the sinners? Love the sinner, hate the sin. Even though your uncle isn't doing what you think he should do, doesn't mean you have the right to be hateful. What he does is between him and God. It's none of your business. You have no right to act like you're better than him, because you sin too. God wants us to be humble. You are far from humble.

You don't have to approve of his lifestyle, but you shouldn't hate him. I feel sorry for his wives, however. Especially his first one. It must be very, very hard to bear! It must be terribly confusing for any children being raised in such a way, too, I would suspect.
