Look on-line or in a bookstore for girls' names. I can't believe you are so short of imagination that you need to recycle a name in such a confusing way. Think a little and look for something a little better.
What do you think will happen if that second daughter some day decides she hates her first name and wants to be known only by her middle name? There are thousands of names, including many better than Elizabeth. You have till that kid is born so spend some spare time considering names.

I don't know about a child having the middle name of one child as the first name of another, but I am the 2nd girl in my family and I have my Mom's middle name. With the name Elizabeth you have several options Beth, Liz etc. Go for it, how often do you call your child by her middle name

By any means Elizabeth is right for your daughter. After all, There is a Queen by the name of "Elizabeth". And she is the second.
Congratulations to you and your husband.

Mama Bear if you want the name to be Elizabeth then make it so. I personally think that there are a lot of names out there to choose from and you shouldn't have to repeat yourself. It is a nice name but it already belongs to another.

Of course you may, but I would not recommend it.
My middle name is also #4 daughters first name, and her middle name is #1 daughters first name.
I suppose we really dont like it at all. Neither of us. Think some more, you will find the right name.

I say go for it, as long as you dont call your second daughter Elizabeth or any shorter version of Elizabeth now.

I am only a teenager, so I can relate, I wouldnt... I think that the first child would be made fun of (especialy in arguments), as well as make the first child feel "left out". I personaly wouldnt.

If she were the only daughter I would say go for it but if not, I would say no because the other daughter may feel left out, unless you can use all your kids names, I say no. But that is just my opinion.

It's fine. I have a friend who did this. She loved the name so much she named her 2nd daughter. I believe it was Alexis Nicole and Nicole Grace.

You could, but you'll want to think about it: When the girls get older, it might confuse them to hear you calling and they wonder which one you mean. Unless you have a nickname that the older one uses all the time.
