G'day Sprintah,
Thank you for your question.
It seems that it is provided it isn't painful. Many of the fastest sprinters have had flat feet.
I have attached sources for your reference.
Seasons regards

First of all, Wikipedia is not a source.
I could go on there right now and tell the world whatever I want.
And to answer your question, no. Being Flat footed does not help you to sprint faster because when sprinting you are on the balls of your feet and are not landing straight on your foot anyhow. You don't hear of any flat footed sprinters not because there aren't a lot of them, but because it makes no difference.

No. You won't be a better sprinted but it won't stop you from being a good sprinter, Olympian etc. Look at Michael Johnson he not only had a weird/unorthodox running style he was also flat footed(personal knowledge, a lot of them are), world record holder and Olympic champ. It really helps if you have an arch because great sprining technique requires a lot of dorsi flexion(generated from toe off positioning) and being a hurdler would really suck being flat-footed as you always land on your toes and need flexion on lead leg step recovery.

the type of speed that makes a good sprinter is more of a function of whether or not you have fast twitch muscle fibers. this is what your reaction time is based on, which i understand to be a large component of sucessful sprinting. for the record, i am flat footed, and i'm a marathoner.

I'm flat-footed and I think I was pretty successful. I used to have to drink a lot of water because my inner foot where my arch is suppossed to be used to burn after practice. I'd typically drink water all day to prevent this pain after practice. My take on sprinting is "you gotta have heart" and train regardless of how you're put together.
