First of all I question any religion that is forced upon one. Spanish Inquisition for one couldn't belief otherwise. Then Europeans and Spaniards forcing their beliefs on Native Americans. When a belief tells you not to question Why? How can a man be a God? Why are we limited to this one life time? Why in so many religions is the woman inferior? I visited different denominations and found something lacking. It's all business to many. I do belief in a superior being, the Father Creator. Celebrate Thanksgiving and New Years. Peace and love be with you.

Wow, that requires a long answer which I'd rather not type out. I'll attempt the short version:
How did I decide? Much research. Twelve years of it, in fact.
I am a Christian, non-denominational, though I attend a Baptist church. I disagree with many things that some of the church members believe.
How long? I've been a Christian for roughly two months.
I celebrate Christmas and Easter as religious holidays. The others I simply remember.

Decide? I decided to believe for myself what I had been taught after having backslid for several years as an adult. My grandparents and others totally walked the walk and talked the talk and were the most loving genuine faith and spirit-filled people I knew so I knew that in spite of some hypocrites, God's power was real. I failed Him not the other way around. I'm still searching the scriptures to see if it is like I was taught.
I believe Jesus is the Son of God, He came in the flesh and is part of the God-head although He is not His own Father, the Holy Ghost is the spirit of God. Jesus was the Word and is the Word. He is the only Mediator between God and man and the only name given under heaven whereby we must be saved. Not enough room to give full answers here.
Our family celebrates Christmas and Easter and birthdays. I'm changing on how I think Christmas and Easter should be celebrated as I think it is alright to do good on the Sabbath and any day of the year.

ooooo... Finally an easy question to answer.

I was born and raised in a heavily Lutheran family. But I never felt like I belonged or was welcomed within that group. I spent my mid-teens researching and learning about the different religions in the world, to see if there was one for me out there. I even talked with a few different religious leaders. One year I was doing some summer temporary work for the special events sector of the City Parks & Rec department and was put in charge of watching over a Pagan festival one weekend. I spent some time talking with a Wiccan leader and a Druid Priest. The more I learned about Druidry the more I felt that was were I belonged. The religion sort of settled around me and and I slowly grew into it through learning and practicing. Now I'm very proud to be a Druid, and have been one for over 5 years now. As for the holidays I celebrate... Yule, Samhane, Beltane, etc. Standard Pagan holidays.

I was raised a Christian. I have explored the beliefs and practices of other religions, and finally settled on Christianity. Its not just a decision but an act of Faith. It takes soul searching, digging down deep, meditation. I celebrate Christmas in honor of Christ 's birth and the entire Advent season, Easter to recognize Christ's death and Resurrection along with other important holidays in the life of the church like Pentecost, Epiphany, Lent.

Oh, I can;t tell you all of that, but in a nutshell, I am a Christian, was born into it , BUT have went to many different churches, and have studies many faiths (I am middle-aged), I observe all of the traditional Christian holidays, and do not nit-pick them, I am NOT a fundamentalist, and I believe that certain things are between a person and their creator, such as reproduction, or not. I am not a Bible banger, but I do believe that it is a very good book, probably the best one I've ever read. I praise God for every breath I take, I believe that He gave that breath to me. I am NOT a judge, just blessed.

God Bless You, and Merry Christmas

You're beliefs (or lack thereof) is a personal thing! It is between you and that (Him) which you deem Holy or Blessed!

Others will choose to lead you or to mislead you! You must decide the Truth for yourself!

Some beliefs invite you to hurt others! Some beliefs recommend loving your neighbors! Which is right?

I am (in my mind ;-)) a 700 year old Sasquatch and I was brought up to believe in my Savior, who is Jesus Christ! I know Him through personal experience! You can too!

One does not (necessarily) decide on a religion or belief. One learns through experience and Truths!

I honor all who believe in a higher power!

IMHO,

I do not have one belief with a label.. I have many diffrent beliefs with no label...
Labeled religions are the worst!!! I can't stand most of them... I do respect them though as long as there not pressed on to me.
I celebrate most holidays as they are on the calander... because that is how I want to do it...
I also call most holidays diffrent names and not just one name
Peace

It has been a life-long quest for me to finally settle on the Faith that I presently believe in. I was born and raised as a Roman Catholic and I grew up being around a devout family, relatives and friends. In my youth I felt that I was among the "many who are [were] called" and I joined the Seminary. But soon I found out that I was not among the "few" that were chosen to pursue a lifetime of Priesthood.

I didn't last long inside those hallowed halls since I felt that my own questions on matters of Faith that remained unanswered even well into my adult years. My thirst for knowledge led me into an adventurous journey as I began to learn about all the major religions that I could study while seeking for the Truth. Among them I did spend some years practising Buddhism as I continued with my search.

This culminated only a fews years ago when I decided to fully relinquish all my ties with the Roman Catholic Church and I did so openly by making it publicly known to all concerned. The reactions I received were expected but, for sure, my actions and opinions are not meant to disrespect any of the Catholic faithful --especially my family and friends, who remain as such-- but to express my views against the teachings and doctrines of the RCC alone.

With much renewed Faith this time around, I do strive daily to follow THE LAW. I am guided by the Sevenfold Teachings of Yeshua Messiah / Jesus the Christ [PBUH], as handed down by the Brotherhood of Essenes...

As our Greatest Prophet and Teacher, Yeshua Messiah [PBUH] said, "Take my yoke [teachings] and LEARN OF ME... For my yoke is easy and my burdens [worldly possessions] is light."

This speaks succinctly about the Laws of the Brotherhood which states that "None shall have wealth, and none shall be poor; and all shall work together in the gardens of the Brotherhood. Yet each shall follow HIS OWN PATH, and each shall commune with his own heart..."

Peace be with you.
