Yeah, Japanese women do tend to like to stay in Japan. I have many friends who are sailors with japanese wives and they usually stay in Japan after they get married. There are very strong family ties in Japan and it's a very old culture. If she is unhappy you should let her go where she can be happy. Heck I'm an American woman and I get homesick for Japan (I've been here since I was 13) whenever I go somewhere else. Home is home you know?

Japanese culture is so different from American culture it may be quite overwhelming. Your girlfriend knows, and understands japan, it is her safety blanket. Maybe you move over there and see if you like it too. Even if you are a gaijin, you may still enjoy it

Would you want to go home to where you live if you were in Japan?
I hope she loves her country more than you because you ask annoying questions.

Ask her, "do you love Japan?". If she said "yes", she will tell you the reason.

Not only women, but also men. I guess so.
