Not to betray someone's trust and go telling their secrets - there's value in being trustworthy.

To be grateful for what you do have, because there's always someone who has it worse.

To learn to take responsibility for problems, because that usually leads to them getting resolved.

To do things the right way from the beginning, so that you don't have to go and re-do them over and over. It may take a little longer from the get-go, but it saves you aggravation in the long run.

Try looking up "Marie De France" - she is a renaissance author of fables. She has several neat ones.
