I mean highlight a certain amount of links, then havve them open at the same time

Hmm, not sure exactly what it is you mean. I know that if you hold down the control button and then click on the link, it opens the link in another tab. You can have tons of those windows open and loading in the background while still looking at the page you are on.

Also, you can have firefox open more than one page as your home page. Have all of the pages open as described above that you want to have as opening when you start up firefox. Then open tools > options > general tab and click Use current pages.

Im confused by the question. All Firefox and now even the new IE lets you open multiople links and or windows using the tab metheod. Once you click a link or even on either just open a new tab and type in a web site your pages will be displayed as a tab letting you switch between different web pages with just one version of the browser open. This is something new to IE but firefox has been doing it its whole life. I dont know if that is what you were looking for but, hope that helps.
