When I click on a command, the computer responds by taking it two steps forward.?

Question

Eg. when I click on Task in MS Outlook, instead of giving me the chance to type the Task, the computer goes forward to open the file. Or when I want to select the Name, when I click it, it goes forward to open that file. Its frustrating! How can I get it to just do what I clicked to do, instead of getting it getting ahead of me.

Maybe you or someone changed your mouse settings?

Open My Computer on your desktop. Select Tools from the menu and then Folder Options. Check to see if Single Click is selected. If it is, select Double Click. Single click will open what ever you click on rather than just select it first.
