This burger was featured on The Boondocks. It's a Krispy Kreme donut as buns and a beef patty. Does anybody know the full ingredients or how to make this burger?

1 Krispy Kreme doughnut ( glazed yeast risen doughnut )
1 hamburger
1 slice of cheese
2 strips cooked bacon
condiments as desired

Try this the next time you make burgers. This food fad is popular in the South. The sweetness and texture of the doughnut plus the taste of the beef and savory taste of the cheese and bacon all contribute to its popularity.
For each serving:

Slice the doughnut, top with a grilled hamburger, add a slice of cheese and cooked bacon and top with remaining doughnut half.
Grill on both sides Serve immediately.

According to urban legend, it was invented at Mulligan's bar in the Oakhurst, neighborhood of Decatur, Georgia on a day when the cook ran out of hamburger buns and decided to use two donuts instead. Its creator named the sandwich after R&B legend Luther Vandross, who reportedly enjoyed the sandwich; some rumors claim that Vandross himself invented his namesake burger.[1] Perhaps not surprisingly, Vandross died of complications from a stroke--not a heart attack--at the age of 54.

Cooking
Some versions of the Luther Burger are made with two donuts. At other times, a single donut is cut in half and grilled after the meat has been cooked separately; the donut halves are placed around the meat glazed-side-in, and the whole sandwich is flattened on the grill and cooked briefly to allow for somewhat less messy consumption. They often include cheese and/or bacon but normally no vegetables or condiments such as ketchup, mustard, pickles, or relish, all of which might normally accompany a burger.

Marketed Products
In 2006, the Gateway Grizzlies baseball team of the Frontier League of Sauget, Illinois began selling a donut-based burger, under the name Doughnut Burger, as a ballpark sandwich. This product had a hamburger patty topped with sharp cheddar cheese and two slices of bacon with a sliced Krispy Kreme Original Glazed doughnut as the bun.

The owner of Mulligan's pub, Chandler Goff, has sold the rights to the Luther Burger to the Atlanta Braves, who will begin selling them at Turner Field in 2006 or 2007.

The sandwich is estimated to contain 1,000 calories and 45 grams of fat.

Sounds intriguing - but shouldn't it be deep fried? I bet it would be even better dipped in batter.
