RE :I have just recieved a "Horizon Gold Credit Card" in the mail. I think i have been scammed, What is this card
I applied for this credit card, because I was informed that the card had a 3000 dollar credit limit on it. I get the card in the mail, and it sends me to some website where I can browse through a catalogue of some sort. Have I just thrown away my 75 dollars? Could someone please tell me what this card is about?

Sounds like you threw it away. I actually applied for the same card last week, haven't gotten it yet. I'm not worried about using it, that's why I got it. I'll use it once and then pay it off, I just wanted something with that much of a limit on it showing on my credit. So it's a good thing that it can't be used anywhere else cause I'd have it charged to the max in no time flat. However, if you didn't read it good and thought you were actually getting a real credit card I'm sorry you were mistaken. I doubt you'll get your money back. What website did they give you?

its not a scam its a way to safely repair or build your credit safely! i have the same card but it has a $1000 limit, when the normal is $500. but by paying a dollar to view my credit score through their credit score affiliate(credit hawk) they will uprgarde you to $1000 limit. DON'T DESTROY The CARD even if you never use it, it still helps your credit get stronger, Says The Lady I Talked To On The Phone Because i Like you Believed I was Getting A credit Card with $1000 Limit, But like any other credit card the more you spend and the quicker you pay it back off the quicker your credit score will begin to improve! The catch is its not a visa, master card, discover, or an American express type credit card, but it still buids your credit in a positive manner! you use it with Horizons online store. its similar to Finger-Hut; if any of you have seen those commercials its just not as big or hasn't been around as long. The online store has a lot of different merchandise for Women and/or MEN. Things from jewelry to video games/movies or clothing and shoes, household items, kitchen electronics, bedroom accessories, and etc.etc.The Biggest problem or issue i have with this whole Horizon purchasing process, is you can order or buy what ever you want or need from their online store, BUT when you go to checkout you have to pay the shipping and handling by way of a Bank Credit/Debit card, and it stays on file with them so next time you want to purchase something from them its there and ready for you to checkout to pay for the shipping and handling. this i feel is ridiculous and believe they should use the horizon card or include the shipping into the checkout fee without the need of a secondary card for shipping fees/handling fees!

Send the card back. You can only use that card at their on line store for shopping only. I receive a similar card like that through the mail and did not apply for it. I sent it right back to them and told them that I was not interested in the card because I did not want a credit card that I can only use on line to purchase their merchandise only. Cut up the card and send it back and tell them you're no longer interested in that card and just kiss the $75.00 bucks good bye :(

That's one of those credit cards that can only be used at a certain place or catalog. The prices are very high, as well as the interest rates.
