I know how you feel, I have just had an out break. One huge pimple after another. Plus they wouldn't budge. I have 3 beautiful scars now. Word to the wise, don't touch it.

OK, the reason it turned red was because you burst a blood vessel.
You know what's funny? I did that about a day ago.
I left it alone for the rest of the night, and now it is looking much better :)
Just wash it immediately with cool/ lukewarm water, and put on whatever cream or medicine you use for your acne.
I'm never going to stop popping certain kinds of pimples xD, but I will know which ones to leave alone.
Don't worry- everything will be ALL RIGHT! :)
Take care sweetheart.

You did the right thing. DON"T LET IT GET THE BEST OF YOU!!
That sucker deserves to be popped. Soak it with warm water/epsom salts and go after it again!! Once popped the redness will go down quick. All of the other "remedies" mean that puss (tons of white blood cells) are still in there and the zit feels like it won....
If you cannot get it, once you go to bed you can wake up and do all of the cover up stuff.

get a piece of ice or something small that is frozen and hold it to the spot for 20-30 seconds. take it off, wait a minute and do it again. Then put a dab of toothpaste on it and wash it in the morning. repeat with the toothpaste each night and no matter what, do not squeeze!

If it's red around it, it may be cellulittis and would need an antibiotic. If it's real sore it may be a boil, in which case you can apply a warm cloth to it for a few hours and it may be ready to pop tomorrow.
