I have been having problems in my right eye. I wear contacts for 3 weeks, then they get thrown out.
At the end of the day, my right eye starts getting blurry, and starts putting out mucous blobs.
This is a new thing since my gallbladder surgery. I really only wear them for 12 hours. Maybe that is too long?

Blink, blink, blink...that is the key. Contacts are over 80% water as the day goes on they can begin to dry out. Blinking will coat them and help to keep them moist.
When we concentrate or focus our attention the blink rate decreases so remembering to blink can actually help a lot.
As contacts dry out they begin to irritate the eye and mucous is created to "heal" the irritation and if one contact is slightly thinner than another then it may dry out quicker and begin to irritate sooner than the other eye.

Try and see if you take them out earlier and let them soak longer if it makes the problems stop. Mine started because I was wearing them entirely too long, and I started getting blood vessels growing over my corneas. Just try soaking them longer and not wearing them as often. If you can, wear your glasses for a day or two to give your eyes a rest. I would say if that doesn't help you should probably go back to see your eye doctor and let him know what's going on. Good luck, hope it gets better.
