To tell you the truth, I'm not so sure UP even has a B&B (buildings and bridges) department any more.

They may out source to a contractor by this time, since the name of the game has been to get rid of as many employees being governed by collective bargaining agreements as possible.

At any extent I would advise against the UP as a choice for employer, if you in fact have a choice. They are not known for the considerate way they treat their endentured servants. Have you thought about being a crack dealer, maybe? You'll be treated better by your superiors, garner more respect from your peers and there's a better chance for advancement.
