i told my friend i like this guy right. and she swore that she would never tell him. guess what? she told him. i saw her talking to him and looking my way. then he ask me in 4 period math and asked me if i like him. i just said that "no, no. brenna lied to you. i played a prank on her and she got mad." and he said oh because brenna told me that you like me and wanted to ask me out. i had butterflies in my stomach when i said it. i think he likes me too. but i really like him a lot. i am just too shy.

Hey it is ok to be shy, however your friend made it easier for you by telling him,and he did what a guy is supposed to do he took the first step, don't waste your chance if you really like him, if you told him you did not like him you might not get another chance to be with him, and besides there a lot of ways that you might give a guy hints that you like him without saying anything directly to him, smiling alone might do the trick, and remember one thing a lot guys are shy too and are afraid to be rejected, so don't make it any harder for him if you really wanna be with him especially if you think that he likes too...good luck..

Get a new friend and make sure you can trust her. Your old you can't trust so don't tell her anything you don't want to be known. About the boy, Tell him that you would like to be friends with him and have the chance to get to know him better. Tell him that you do had butterflies in you stomach when he ask you the question and that you were caught off guard and did know what to say.

You messed up. You should of been honest. If he didn't like you too, he wouldn't have asked you if what your friend said was true. Try not to be too mad. She was probably just trying to help. I know you're young, but you should always be honest

Thats not "guy problems thats "best friend" problems.
Don't tell your friend anything you dont want repeated because she cannot be trusted. However you should have been honest with the guy you like because now he thinks youre not interested.
