This actually depends on th type of hair that you have and this describes hair types and what to do about each.

Your scalp naturally provides healthy oils and nutrients which help the lustre of hair. As previously stated, brushing regularly will provide even distribution of these oils. Do not shampoo too often. If your hair is relatively dry you should only shampoo about twice a week. And by all means, NEVER repeat!! Do NOT wash your hair twice (as is sometimes indicated on the overly zealous shampoo product-bottles)

Periodically, you can even try wetting your hair and just applying a conditioner - no shampoo, then rinsing well. This will gently cleanse any debris without stripping away the essential gloss of the hair.

Depends on your hair type. If you have oily hair and have to wash it daily try a 50/50 rinse of vinegar and water and rinse it very well (once or twice a week). Something about vinegar restores shine and the natural PH balance in hair. And do not use the same shampoo daily - all shampoo will cause buildup and switching is good for your hair as well.

its accually not good to wash your hair to often, it washes out ALL the natural hair oils and can dry it out, so its not bad to not wash your hair everyday, like everyother day is fine and your hair will be healthy.
