1. Nineteen.
2. Married for 2years.
3. 18.
4. One son of my own. I also have my cousin who has lived with my husband and I for the past two years.
5. Yep. I finished HS at 16 with a 3.98GPA with Advanced Placement courses--that also qualify as college credit.
6. I have six credits until I have my degree. I also have a certificate of phlebotomy.
7. I never took months off of school.
I'm determined to beat the stereotype. I'm very well educated but I'm often generalized as being a welfare case, uneducated, and just pitied. I've never ever had government assistance. There are so many more people out there like me. Think the next time you look down on a teen mother.

I am what society refers to as a "teen mom". I am 34, and very divorced. I was sixteen when I had my first child. I had two children before I was nineteen. I finished high school, worked a full time job, and took care of my children on my own. I have attended some college, my youngest was born when I should followed through with college, but he was sick, so my college education was put on hold. Maternity leave was never in question because my children were all born during summer break.

I am 26 now
I am on my second marriage, both husbands have fathered one of my children.
I was 17 when I got pregnant, 18 when I delivered.
1 child
I got my GED when I was 20
I am getting ready to start college in the spring
I took maternity leave from the army for 6 weeks.
Oh extra information, I have two children One is 8 and the other is 21 months, That's all I have been pregnant with. I know that a majority of teen mom's have a couple while they are teens.

I am 47 now, I got pregnant with my first daughter when I was 18. Her dad was 16. She was born shortly after my 19th bd. I had her sister and brother 2 and 4 years later.
I was in college at the time and didn't return till I was 35.
I missed out on a lot of fun in college, but I love my kids. Best of all they are all grown and gone and I am still young lol. Also am back in school for my Master's degree in Education.
