Judging all of us redheads against Conan O'Brien is about as dumb as judging all blondes against Jessica Simpson.
Every "group" of people who are categorized by hair and or skin color have horrible stereotypes attached to them. To say that all redheads are mean, angry, rude, snobby or quirky is no different than saying all Asians are cheap.
There are quirky people in all groups. Chris Tucker is a quirky black guy, John Leguizamo is a quirky hispanic. It has nothing to do with hair color, it is strictly personality.

Absolute rubbish. You could argue that their is a "cultural bias" towards redheads ie they are treated differently therefore they act differently - HOWEVER having said that - there is no basis for this assumption. Also, you may have overheard such a notion, prior to actually knowing a redhead, and then transferred your prior affect into the situation.
Hair color is akin to eye-color, skin color, and the shape of one's nose, for example. They are all related yet they do not predict or behavior. Your REACTION to these nuances can have a profound affect on what you can expect in terms of behavorial responses.

I have met a lot of redheads in my life, and most of them are quirky. But some of them aren't.

It seems that way. Our youngest daughter is a redhead although she colors it other colors and she definetly is the quirkiest of our 4 kids.

Hair color isn't related to personality.
Why are redheads always portrayed as quirky or zany on TV or movies? I don't know. They're also portrayed as hotheaded go-getter types. And brunettes are smart and mysterious, and blondes are dumb bimbos. Terrible stereotypes, if you ask me.

My sister and I are both redheads, she more so than I, hers is auburn and mine more red chestnut. Yeah we probably are considered quirky. We have our moments. But we are also hard working , and smart and yeah, we both have tempers that flare fast!
